E-auction PM Modi’s mementos rolls out tomorrow

The mementos presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi has all eyes and ears right now. The gifts are on display at the exhibition at the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi on Friday. Although, the exhibition was inaugurated today but will be fully open for the public from September 17 to October 2.

Moreover, a model statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose made by sculptor Arun Yogiraj and the sporting memorabilia of the Commonwealth Games medalists gifted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi are among the 1,200 items which will be auctioned starting from Saturday.

Yogiraj, along with a group of artisans, has sculpted the massive 28 feet statue of Netaji, which was recently unveiled by PM Modi at India Gate. Furthermore, he had also gifted the PM a model statue of Bose in April.

The sporting memorabilia gifted to the Prime Minister by numerous sportspersons will also be a part of the auction. A ministry official has claimed that 25 new sporting memorabilia will be part of the auction.

The auction will be taking place through a web portal pmmementos.gov.in and it will be concluded on October 2. However, some of the gifts are on display at the National Gallery of Modern Art.
