Leaked documents reveals, Microsoft will soon launch redesigned Xbox Series X without the disc drive

Microsoft is reportedly working on refreshing the Xbox Series X Console with new features and designs. This has come out from accidentally revealed FTC vs. Microsoft documents. The document revealed that the refreshed Xbox Series X Console codenamed Brooklin will come in a cylindrical design without the disc drive.

It is revealed to come with 2TB of storage, a USB-C front post with power delivery, and a new immersive controller. Along with this, it will also come with Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, an all-new southbridge “to modernize IO and sustainability efforts” and a 6-nanometer die shrink.

The new controller codenamed Sebile image shows it in dual tone and is revealed to support a direct connection to the cloud, Bluetooth 5.2, and an updated “Xbox Wireless 2” connection. It is also revealed to feature “precision haptic feedback” and “VCA haptics double as speakers” for the controller. The document mentions that it will have quieter buttons and a thumbstick, a rechargeable and swappable battery, and modular thumbsticks.

The focus of the article Xbox Series X Console will come at the “same great price” that is $499 as mentioned and can be launched in November of next year. Though the document says the Xbox Series X Console is adorable but lack of a disc drive does not make it so.
