Veteran Actor Mark Margolis, Known for ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul,’ Passes Away at 83

Mark Margolis, the veteran actor, popularly known for his roles in the classics “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul”, was declared dead by his son Morgan Margolis on Thursday. The actor breathed his last at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. The actor’s age was 83 years at the time of his death.

Mark Margolis was born on August 3, 2023.

The veteran actor portrayed the role of Hector Salamanca in the above-mentioned TV series.

The actor was nominated for the Emmy Award in 2012 for his performance in Breaking Bad. He was nominated in the category of Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.

The actor debuted in his teens and went on to give some of his most appreciated works in the films of Darren Aronofsky.  He even acted in Afronofsky’s debut film, Pi, which was released in the year 1998.

Some of his other famous roles include Alberto “The Shadow” in Scarface and Antonio Nappa in Oz. Along with this, he was seen in supporting roles in films like Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), Requiem for a Dream (2000), The Fountain (2006), The Wrestler (2008), Black Swan (2010), and Noah (2014).

Along with the Emmy, the veteran actor was also nominated for the Saturn Awards in the category of Best Guest Starring Role on Television in the year 2011, for his role in Breaking Bad.
