Reliance Industries Ltd Conducted its 46th Annual General Meeting Today: Here are Some of the Exciting Announcements
Reliance Industries Ltd(RIL) today, on the 28th of August 2023, had conducted its 46th Annual General Meeting(AGM) at 2:00 PM IST. Mukesh Ambani, who is to remain as the CMD for Reliance Industries for another 5 more years, along with the companies other board members, directors, shareholders, executives and official representatives were part of the event, which was held through video conferencing and broadcasted via social media and video platforms.

Jio AirFibre
Early this month, Airtel had released its XStream AirFiber FWA and was made available in the cities of Mumbai and Delhi, with the promise of making it available throughout the country in the coming few months. Mukesh Ambani himself has now announced Jio’s wireless broadband device, the Jio AirFibre, and the device will be launched on the 19th of September 2023, on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Jio AI
Mukesh Ambani has also announced that Jio will be offering AI services to everyone and everywhere. To note, he had mentioned at the event that AI has been the most exciting frontier of growth for Jio and the company is looking forward to bring India-specific AI models and solutions, with the aim of delivering the benefits of AI services to Indian citizens, government bodies and also to other businesses.
JioBharat Tariff Plan
Announcements regarding JioBharat’s 123 tariff plan was also made. At just the cost of Rs. 123, JioBharat 4G phone users will be able to enjoy 14GB of data for a period of 28 days, 30% cheaper and 5 times more data than similar plans from other network operators.
JioCloud PC
Jio has also partnered with HP and Google to make its JioCloud PC which will help its users in various tasks, be it personal or work related. The JioCloud PC will also be able to perform significantly and aid its users in the best possible ways with services like entertainment, health, education, finance and many more.
Jio Smart Home
Jio’s Smart Home is an ecosystem of many connected devices working harmoniously with the foundation from a fast and seamless Wi-Fi network and many accessibility and services provided through the Jio Smart Home app.
Jio Set Top Box
Jio’s Set Top Box is also part of the wide range of devices that are part of the Jio Smart Home ecosystem and is addressed as a gateway to the world of entertainment. Users will be able to access live TV channels, streaming contents, games and multiple applications with the help of the Set Top Box. The Jio Smart Home app also has an e-remote within it, allowing its users to connect and play games without the need of a physical game controller.
