Samsung has unveiled today its new flagship UHS-I memory card lineup. The memory cards come as microSD and full-size SD form factors to increase reliability and productivity. These memory cards are ideal options for professional photographers and content creators.
The Samsung PRO Ultimate microSD card comes in 3 different storage capacities; 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The 128GB microSD card is priced at $20.99, the 256GB microSD card is priced at $40.99 and the 512GB microSD card is priced at $64.99.
The Samsung PRO Ultimate SD card comes in 4 different storage capacities; 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The 64GB SD card is priced at $18.99, the 128GB SD card is priced at $36.99, the 256GB SD card is priced at $54.99 and the 512GB SD card is priced at $84.99.
These memory cards come with the best read and write speeds. The maximum read speed goes up to 200MB/s and the maximum write speed goes up to 130MB/s.
The upgraded controller on the PRO Ultimate cards has an enhanced Error Correction Code (ECC) engine and multi-proof protection which ensures safer data storage. The cards also provide enhanced durability with the upgraded ECC’s Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC).
These new cards come with up to 72 hours of water protection at 2 meters of depth, a drop-proof design from heights of up to 10,000 swipes, and X-ray, magnetic, and shock protection. The PRO Ultimate is 37% improved in power efficiency with the new 28nm controller when compared with Samsung’s previous lines with the 55nm controller.
