Google Is Coming Up With A Tool To Help You Read Doctor Prescription

You no longer need to worry about not being able to understand your doctor’s writing with Google’s new AI tool.

The tech giant Google at a recently held event Google for India 2022. Announced the launch of an artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning model. Which can identify and highlight medicines mentioned in doctors’ prescriptions.

The tech giant said that the new model will act as an assistive technology to digitize handwritten medical documents. The technology will augment pharmacists in the loop, Google said in its blog. The company has said that the technology is currently under development. And no decision can solely be made by this technology.

Google also introduced features for people to search and look for information through visual media. The company introduced a Multisearch feature. This feature can help people to look for information using images and text simultaneously. To use this feature the user needs to open the camera in the Google app to take a picture or use a screenshot and add text to the question.

It has also launched a speech recognition feature. The search engine giant said the feature works on a neural-network-inspired speech recognition model. That takes into account the individual’s accents, surrounding sounds, context, and speaking styles.

In order to ensure users have easy access to their authentic digital documents directly from the Files by Google app on Android. The company said it has partnered with the National eGovernance Division (NeGD).
