Lucy is a dwarf star that has a massive diamond for a core. It is also known as V886 Centauri and BPM 37093 as it is found in the constellation Centaurus. It was discovered in 1992 and has a core temperature dropping below 12,000 degrees Fahrenheit (6,600 Celsius).

Weighing approximately 10 billion trillion trillion carats and spreading 2,500 miles across, Lucy is the biggest diamond ever found.
