Leave behind time-consuming tax payment processes as Income Tax Payments feature is now live on PhonePe
In a new move in the world of digitalization, taxpayers can now opt for hassle-free tax payments through PhonePe. You can now sway away from previously experienced hassle while paying your taxes, through the new ‘Income Tax Payments’ feature in the UPI payment app, PhonePe.
Previously, taxpayers had to log in to the Income Tax Portal to pay their taxes in the online format. This was followed by a subsequent series of steps, and only after completing them, one could pay their tax. There have been times when taxpayers experienced various forms of delay, lags, and errors while paying their taxes through the portal.
On the other hand, in the offline mode of tax payment, one had to pay their taxes through RTGS/NEFT at their bank. The method is comprised of a process that includes the generation of challan to remit the tax amount via Cash/Cheque/Demand Draft.
The new feature of Income Tax Payments, which is now live in the PhonePe app is going to help taxpayers achieve seamless and hassle-free tax payments.
The new development is widely appreciated and welcomed by the taxpayers of the nation. The mass is expecting that the new feature would simplify the complex and time-consuming tax payment processes to easy navigation on the PhonePe app.
Users can pay their taxes using the PhonePe app in the following ways:
Step 1: Launch the PhonePe app and select the ‘Income Tax’ icon.
Step 2: Choose the type of tax you want to pay, the assessment year, and your PAN Card information.
Step 3: Enter the total tax amount and pay using your choice of payment method.
Step 4: Following successful payment, the funds will be credited to the tax portal within two working days.
