India is all set to get Chinese big tech companies like Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi to start production in India. This is seen as a big win for India under the Make in India umbrella of Pm Modi. According to reports by several media houses, this can be seen as a way to ease up the strict guidelines of the India Government.
Recently there was a shipment of 27000 units that was stopped by Indian customs that belonged to Vivo. However, after documentation, the same was released by Indian customs. Under the leadership of PM Modi, the country has seen a big push for the Make In India initiative.
Currently, India provides a scheme called production-linked incentives (PLI) to companies. And tech giants like Samsung and Apple are already receiving the benefits of the same. So we believe these Chinese companies are also going to get all the benefits plus it will boost Indian manufacturing also.
Several reports suggest that not only the manufacturing will happen here but will also be exported to several other countries. Namely Africa, the Middle East, Some parts of Europe, and India’s neighbor Pakistan. So you might not be surprised to see an Indian manufacturing stamp on these products in Pakistan.
