September 20 has been marked as the deadline set by the Sports Ministry for the submission of online applications for National Sports Awards 2022. The website, https://www.yas.nic.in, has been receiving notifications for the same.
Indian Olympic Association/Sports Authority of India/recognized National Sports Federations/Sports Promotion Boards/ State and UT Governments were intimated accordingly, the Sports Ministry said in a statement.
“The application of the eligible sportspersons for the award must be submitted at the Portal dbtyas-sports.gov.in by 11.59 pm on 20th September, 2022. Applications received after the last date will not be considered,” the Ministry said in its notification.
Moreover, the applications are only being accepted through online mode only and that too through a dedicated portal.
Sports Awards are given every year, Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award and Dhyan Chand Award are some of the major awards, too name a few.
However, the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar is given to the corporate entities and individuals, who have contributed in the area of sports promotion and development and the Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad Trophy is given to a university for overall top performance in the inter-university tournaments.
