Twitter will soon allow users to do video and audio call on Twitter and that too without phone number

You might have connected on video or audio calls on Instagram, Facebook, or at least WhatsApp to your friends and family members. But very soon users will be able to make audio and video calls on X formerly known as Twitter. Musk in his recent X post wrote “Video & audio calls coming to X”. Further explaining it he wrote in bullets

“- Works on iOS, Android, Mac & PC
– No phone number needed
– X is the effective global address book”.

So none of the users whether they are Android users, iOS users, or Mac and PC users will have to wait for so long as it will reach everyone. And there won’t be any phone number needed to call anyone on X, thus making the X “effective global address book”.

There has been a significant change in X and the recent rebranding was the biggest one. These changes will not only give X an edge over other competitive social media platforms but also lie in parallel with Musk’s vision to make an everything app like Chinese WeChat. Some of the changes that were recently reported are the Twitter Blue subscription rebranded as X Premium, default dark mode, and Ad Revenue Share program.
