Both the flip devices are really great smartphones with good specifications and this makes the comparison really difficult. But still, which would be the best?

About the performance offered, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5 offers the best performance when compared to Motorola’s Razr 40 Ultra. Both the devices are powered by Qualcomm chipsets, but the Galaxy smartphone has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, while the Motorola device is equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

For the displays, the Motorola smartphone offers larger inner main(6.9″) and cover(3.6″) displays with faster refresh rates(165Hz & 144Hz). The resolution of the inner display remains the same(1080 x 2640 pixels) for the two, however for the cover display, Motorola’s smartphone has a far higher screen resolution(1056 x 1066 pixels) than the Galaxy device.

Coming to the cameras, at its rear, the two flip devices have 12MP dual camera units. Here too, the Motorola device features a slightly better ultrawide lens(13MP), as well as a really good front cam(32MP), when compared to the other.

Finally regarding the battery backup. The Motorola smartphone is backed by the largest battery(3,800 mAh) and supports the fastest wired fast charge feature(30W). But when it comes to the wireless charging feature, the one supported by Samsung is faster(15W). To add, Samsung also has a 4.5W reverse wireless charging feature for the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which the Motorola smartphone lacks.

So, as you may have noticed, both smartphones and maybe flip phones have their pros and cons, making it really difficult to title one among them the best. Even if this is the case, you will be able to see that Motorola’s Razr 40 Ultra is better in terms of the overall specifications offered, and this makes it the better flip form factor smartphone in this comparison.
