Here we are with another iOS vs Android battle, but this time it is a battle between the number of new update installations till 6th January 2023.
As per the reports, Apple iOS 16 is now installed on 74.69% of iPhones, whereas Google Android 13 is installed on only 5.2% of Android devices (as of Jan 6, 2023).
Both Apple iOS and android rolled out the new OS updates in 2022 and as per the data most of the Apple users have already installed these updates whereas, in the case of Android, the situation is totally opposite as only 5.2% of the users have installed the Android 13 updates.
One of the main reasons behind this huge difference in numbers is that Apple is the only company that uses its own operating system so the updates are made available faster. Whereas various companies use Android and these manufacturers use different components on different models, which requires time and effort to make the software compatible with the different chipsets. So this whole process takes time and updates reach the users late.
The delay on the manufacturer’s end is the main reason for the stats presented previously.
