Hyundai unveiled its fifth generation Santa Fe last month and now the company has revealed more about its latest mid-size SUV. Speaking about its exterior, the all-new 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is now longer and taller than before, with the same width as its predecessor. The SUV is 190.2″ long and its distance between the axles has been extended again by 1.9″. A wheelbase of 110.8″ and 21″ giant wheels are also new upgrades to the SUV. In the attempt of retaining some of the elements that were there in the previous model, Hyundai has incorporated H-shaped lighting elements at its front and rear.

Now coming to its interior, the SUV has a dashboard design similar to a Land Rover and features a new column-mounted shifter, an audio system with a 6.6″ touch panel and physical knobs, along with subtle H-shaped elements. The steering wheel too resembles that which is offered on a Land Rover Defender and above which, two 12.3″ display screens have been added – one as a gauge cluster and the other one for infotainment. Wireless charging pads and a sanitizing tray are also part of the interior design.

Regarding the seats, the front passenger seats will be receiving a deployable footrest and as of now, it is not sure whether it is a standard feature or an optional. The second-row seats will be power adjustable and the third-row seats can be reclined up to 10 degrees. Both the second and third-row seats will also be having more legroom than before and a cargo space of 26 cubic feet is also present behind.

Now coming to the powertrains, depending on the region, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe will come in a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine, a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine, a 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid engine, and a 1.6-liter turbocharged plug-in hybrid engine. Various driver assistance and security features are also part of the new SUV.

In the US market, only the 2.5-liter turbocharged and 1.6-litre turbocharged hybrid powertrain options will be available. The 2.5-liter turbocharged engine will have a power of 277 horsepower and a torque of 311 pound-feet and will be paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It will have both front-wheel and all-wheel drive modes.  The 1.6-litre turbocharged hybrid engine is expected to have a six-speed transmission with all-wheel drive and combined, is expected to offer the same power of 226 horsepower.

About the pricing, nothing much has been revealed but from what is now being said, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is likely going to make its appearance in the US market by the mid-half of next year.
