New PS5 System Software Update will be Rolled-Out Today Globally: Many New and Added Features Coming
Sony will be rolling out a new system software update to its PS5 gaming console today in global markets, and many new features and updates from the latest PS5 beta will be made available to users with many more to arrive in the coming weeks.

This new system software update, as mentioned, will be bringing a lot of exciting new features from the latest PS5 beta program and the first among them is the new accessibility features that will be offered.
PS5 users after updating will be able to add a second controller for assistance to their account and can simultaneously use two controllers to operate the device. Haptic feedback effects can also be turned on while users navigate with the help of their DualSense controller, DualSense Edge controller, or using their PS VR2 Sense controller.
Users will also be able to enjoy 3D Audio powered by Tempest 3D AudioTech with the help of a compatible Dolby Atmos-enabled HDMI device like a soundbar, home theater system, or a compatible TV.
Many new ways to connect with friends or other players, and new features that will improve users’ multiplayer experience are also part of the update. Invitations can also now be sent to players without automatically adding them to the group or by creating a new group. A preview of the shared screen at a party can also be seen now.
Users will also be able to join their friend’s session easily and the game hub tournament tile will show the number of tournaments attended, the highest rank that has been achieved, and also the details of the next tournament.
For more convenience, users can also start reacting to messages with emojis and will be able to search for games within their library. In the “Discover Tips” section, users will also be able to find useful tips and learn more about what their PS5 can do.
With the update, users will also be able to add an M.2 SSD with a maximum storage capacity of 8TB to their PS5 gaming console from the previous 4TB limit, enabling its users to have more storage available on the device.
