Apple’s iOS 17 is to be Made Available Today: Here are the Compatible Devices and Some of the Delayed Features

Apple at its special event conducted recently, on the 12th of September 2023, had officially announced the latest iOS 17 operating system and today, on the 18th of September 2023, the brand will be unveiling it to its iPhone devices.

Check out the list of iPhone devices that will be receiving or will be compatible with the latest iOS 17 operating system, along with its features and some other delayed features that are to be launched soon.

iOS 17 – Features

The latest iOS 17 brings a lot of new and added features. On the Phone app, users can decide what the others should see when calling them. The Messages app will also let users see all their messages in one place and a new “Check In” feature has been added. A catch-up arrow, search filters, a new option to share and view locations, and an audio message transcription feature are also part of the Messages app.

Users will also be able to create stickers from their photos, add unique effects, use the stickers on multiple platforms, and bring all of them to a single place. A method to record and send video/audio messages when someone misses a FaceTime call, 3D augmented reality effects, and FaceTime on Apple TV are also some new features.

A new full-screen experience, interactive widgets, NameDrop, faster and better ways to share using AirDrop, and seamlessly start SharePlay, are other added features. Journal, a new app that can be used to jolt down notes, is also being introduced with the new operating system.

On the keyboard, better and more accurate auto-correct and word/sentence suggestion(as you type) features have also been added. Improved browsing experience with multiple profiles & better privacy, offline maps, app shortcuts as you search, visual look-up, new mental health & visual health features, added privacy & security features, and many other features will also be present on the iOS 17 operating system.

iOS 17 – Delayed Features

Few of the features that are expected on the iOS 17 operating system, for some reason, are said to be delayed, and Apple has confirmed to make it available later this year. This includes features like AirDrop over the internet, Journal app, Messages app catch-up arrow, favorite songs, PDF form detection, AutoFill support in PDFs, Audio Focus in Fitness+, Apple ID proximity sign-in, collaborative music playlists, and better messages syncing.
