Realme has launched its latest flagship offering, the GT 5 smartphone, in its home market in China. The device is available in three storage options and two color choices, and its pre-orders will start today.

The latest flagship smartphone comes equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset from Qualcomm and has a primary clock of 3.2GHz. The device runs on the Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 and is coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 internal storage. It comes in three storage options 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 24GB/1TB.
About the display, the smartphone features a 6.74″ Pro XDR OLED display panel which has a 1.5K screen resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is also equipped with the Pixelworks X7 independent processor. It also supports a 2160Hz PWM dimming and a 1400 nits peak brightness rate.
About the cameras, at the rear, the smartphone has a triple camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX890 OIS main camera, along with two additional cameras of 8MP and 2MP. A 16MP front-facing camera is also offered on the device for selfies.
The smartphone is available in two battery variants, as was revealed before, the 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB storage options pack 5,240 mAh batteries and support a 150W fast charging feature. The 24GB/1TB storage option is backed by a 4,600 mAh battery, supporting a faster 240W fast charge feature.
Other features of the smartphone are 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, an X-axis haptic motor, and an IR blaster.
The smartphone, as mentioned, comes in two color choices – Star Mist Oasis and Silver Mirror, with a thickness of 8.86mm and a weight of 205 grams.
Regarding the price, the 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB models are priced at CNY 2,999 and CNY 3,299, respectively. The high-end model has a price of CNY 3,799. The pre-orders start today at 6.30 PM local time and will be made available for open sales on the 4th of September, at 10 AM local time. A 12-month interest-free benefit can also be enjoyed as a pre-order offer.
