Vivo Claims The Top Spot As The Top Smartphone Brand In The Indian Market In Q2 2023
Vivo overtook Samsung and is placed above all the other smartphone brands as the top smartphone brand in the Indian smartphone market in Q2 2023. This is on the basis of the latest report released by the International Data Corporation (IDC).

According to IDC, the Indian smartphone market fell by 10% year-over-year to 64 million units in the six months ending in June (H1 2023). The shipments in Q2 2023 were down by 10% sequentially, but up annually by 3% with 34 million units.
As the quarter ended in June, Vivo expanded its market share to 16% compared to the 14.5% share in the corresponding quarter last year. Now, Vivo is placed at the top spot with a 7.4% growth in its shipments during this period.
Samsung is in second place as its market share decreased from 16.3% in Q2 2022 to 15.7% in Q2 2023. The third position has been taken by Realme as their market share decreased from 17.5% to 12.6%.
Oppo holds the fourth position with 11% market share in Q2 2023 from the 11.5% market share in Q2 2022. Among the others in the top-10 list, Xiaomi witnessed the highest decline in market share with 39.4%.
Poco became the fastest-growing brand with 76.5% year-over-year growth, with its market share increasing from 2.8% in Q2 2022 to 5% in Q2 2023. Apple and OnePlus are the two among the top 10 other than Poco, with a significant growth of 61.1% each, during the same period.
